A generation after their last metallic gallop around a track at the fabled, long-defunct Steeplechase amusement park, and 20 years after apparently vanishing, 9 of 16 historic Steeplechase horses have resurfaced. The horses were “found” in a Long Island storage yard after years of rumors about their theft or orchestrated disappearance. These horses are one of the most recognized amusement park symbols in the world and now reside at the Sideshows by the Seashore museum at Coney Island.
